Terry Vernell Turner

Mr. Terry Vernell Turner Sr. known by many as Pooh-Pooh and 'Lil Terry passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital in Muskegon, Michigan.  Age 30 years. He was born on May 4, 1994, to Laura Lee Taylor and Ronnie Ray Turner Sr.

Terry attended Saginaw Public Schools including Saginaw High School. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Terry was loved by everyone who knew him. He was well-known for the love and affection he showed others. Terry was very easygoing, had a loving attitude, and was kind-hearted, but he was also well-respected and stood ten-toes down on his beliefs. He took pride in his good looks, and fashionable attire, and was an avid sneakerhead. Terry also loved to read, crack jokes, and play cards, especially Spades. He was fearless and selfless and would always put his close loved ones' feelings and well-being above his own. These characteristics he demonstrated until the very end. Terry will forever be our HERO!

He leaves loving memories with his daughter, Nevaeh Turner; son, Terry Turner, Jr.; father, Ronnie Ray Turner Sr; grandmother, Viola Perkins; he will be sorely missed by his brothers, Kasey (Breland) Staffney, Ronnie (Margaret), Xavier (Ashley), Demarcus (Sharnice), and De'Vonte Turner; godbrothers, Terry (Roshell) Wade, Tyrone Clark, and Bob (Tiara) Wilson Jr.; nine nieces, Chynah, Matty, Kania, Jada, Kyla, Kamarri, Amarie, Kayland, and Laurynn; six nephews, Demarcus Jr., X'Zavion, Jalen, DaShonte, Jacoryon, Kasey Jr; four aunts, Pamela Turner, Verline Morgan, Omelia Taylor, Doretha Johnson, and Sonya Mushatt; one uncle, Terry Taylor; a host of cousins whom he loved dearly; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Destiny Oglesby; the mother of his children, Shrandia Jackson; godchildren, Zamir, Hayvhen, and the Curry, Wade, and Wilson children whom he dearly loved and considered as his nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Lee Taylor; grandmother, Ethel Lee Taylor; cousins, Dvaryohn McKinney and Quintae Cooper; godmothers, Vera Woods and Tavonna Garrett; uncle, Kelvin Turner; and aunt, Linda Turner-McKether.
