Thatia Ross (Lansing)

Mrs. Thatia Ross passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at her residence in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Age 56 years. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on Tuesday, December 13, 1966, the daughter of Mamie Jo Howell and Willie Howell, Jr.

Thatia was raised in Lansing, Michigan. She attended the Lansing School District, graduating from Everett High School. Her hobbies and interests included sports. She was a wrestling fanatic and loved WWE Smackdown. Thatia loved music, especially Avant and Keke Wyatt. She loved and played volleyball in high school, as well as basketball. Thatia was a very loving and outgoing person. She liked to attend concerts and enjoyed going out with friends. She always loved to dance, loved to joke and laugh and always kept a smile on her face.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Keshila Marrell, Deshyrise (Doris) Bradford, John Bradford, Deshawn Hughes, and Jumar Hughes; grandchildren, Nova Hughes, Zyair Hughes, Jamarion Bradford, Samuel White, Deshyrise Bradford, Jr., Alise Bradford, Crishyrise Bradford, and Demilez Bradford; sisters, Consetta Chapell and Latia (Victor) Penman; brothers, Mark Howell and Gill Howell; nieces, Kiyuana Chappell, Kiyneshia Chappell, Nikki Lily, Tamara Morrell and Zalaya Howell; nephews, Darius Chappell, Eric Chappell, Markeese Chappell, Juron Chappell, Zion Howell, Mark Howell, Tyrone Howell, Di-Yonta Anderson, Darrion Oliver, Malcolm Penman, Shaquille Penman and Victor Penman, IV; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Michael Ross; parents, Mamie Jo Howell and Willie Howell; grandparents, Clara Chappell and Cleotha Chappell.
