Mr. Theodore Parker, affectionately known as “TP,” departed this life on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Covenant Medical Center. He was 83 years old. He was born on May 23, 1937 to the union of Joe Luther and Rosetta Parker in Marion, Alabama. He was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan since the age of seventeen, and was employed by General Motors Saginaw Malleable Iron Plant, retiring after 35 years.
Theodore was a member of the Most Worshipful King David Grand Lodge – Perfect Ashler Lodge No. 26, and Rose of Sharon Lodge No. 4 (Flint & Saginaw) for 50 years. He was also a member of Cairo Temple Shriners organization (Flint & Saginaw), Enoch Commandery of Knight Templar and High Priest of Royal Arch. He served as Past Patron of Bright Star Chapter #22, Cordelia Chapter #48, and Sojourner Chapter #40 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Saginaw, Michigan.
He leaves a loving memory for his wife, Geneva Parker; five children, Deborah D. Gibson of Saginaw, Anthony R. Parker of California, Pamela D. (Chinedu) Emeahara of California, Dwayne A. Parker, and Monica L. Parker, both of Saginaw; two stepdaughters, Shalonda Bailey, and Keisha Bailey, both of Saginaw; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and Lodge brothers.
Theodore was predeceased by his wife, Peggy Parker, daughter, Valencia Robinson-Coleman, brother, Sidney Parker, sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy (John) Turner, Leola (Sonny) Moore, Isadora (Elias) Coats, Earnese (Arthur) Wood, and Ruby (Eugene) Kynard.
