Theresa Lynn Moon

"A Life Well Lived"

Theresa (Lynn) made her transition on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 after a brief, private and persistent battle with illness. Theresa was born on January 22, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edgar and Erthlene Jackson.

Theresa was raised in Saginaw where she graduated from Saginaw High School in 1982. It was also in Saginaw, at St. Paul Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ and served Him consistently. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she met and married her husband of 26 years, Kenneth Moon Sr., and lived the remainder of her days. There were two children born to this devoted union. During her time in Atlanta, Theresa lived a life of purpose and service in contentment as she actively engaged her neighbors, co-workers, friends and family. She was a true “people person.”

Theresa is survived by her husband, Kenneth Moon Sr., her two children, Kenneth Jr. and Kenyata, and one grandchild, Ken’lee. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Erthlene Jackson; two brothers, Terry and Edgar Jr.; three sisters, Veronica (Berry), Lisa (Timothy), Sandra (Nathaniel); a special friend and neighbor, Bettie Little; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Saginaw and Atlanta, all who were very dear to her.

Theresa is preceded in death by her father, Edgar Jackson Sr.
