Thomas C. Baskin

Mr. Thomas C. Baskin passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 58 years. He was born January 10, 1965, in Union Springs, Alabama, to Johnnie Mae and M.C. Baskin.

Thomas, a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Buena Vista Public Schools and was a graduate of Buena Vista High School, Class of ’83. Thomas accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Bethlehem Temple Church in Saginaw. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Thomas had a big heart and was always kind to people. He held various jobs during his lifetime, and he enjoyed fishing and cooking. Thomas will be missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.

Thomas leaves to cherish loving memories two sons, Shaquille Baskin, and Thomas Baskin, Jr.; his mother, Johnnie Mae Baskin; three sisters, Anna Hatchett, Barbara (Theodore) Woods, and Mickey Baskin; one brother, Timothy (Michelle) Baskin; many other relatives and friends including nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, Matthew Harris, and Mitchell Ezell.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Demarco Baskin; father, M.C. Baskin; brother, Terry Baskin; his maternal and paternal grandparents, other relatives, and friends.
