Thomas Gaines Sunny Boy of Saginaw, MI departed this life on Monday, December 21, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Age 65 years. He was born July 9, 1944 in Demopolis, AL to the late Earl Marie and late Vive Gaines, Sr.
Mr. Gaines was employed by Saginaw Metal Casting Plant retiring August 1, 2009 after 47 years of service.
Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Ruth Gaines; three daughters and their spouses, Apral (Eric) Maner of Saginaw, MI, Sabrina (Oliver) Humphrey of Deltona, FL and Vickie (Keith) Williams of Howell, MI; ten grandchildren, Eris, Jacari, Amyra, Anquinisha, Torey, Juaun, Jasmine, Victor, Keith Jr. and Thomas; two great grandchildren, Samyra and Amarious; four sisters, Annie Smith, Sarahree (Odice) Banks, Rosie (James) Parks Sr. and Dora (Quinton) Bailey; two brothers-in-law, James (Dorothy) Donald and Eddie Donald; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Donald Allen, Clint Hollis, Emmanuel Johnson, Manzel Reed, Jessie Simpson, George Steward and Chester Sledge.
He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Thomas Gaines Jr.; two siblings, Vive Gaines Jr. and Vivian Micken and mother-in-law, Bertha Donald.
