Timothy I. Minor, Iii (Lansing)

Mr. Timothy I. Minor, III passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Sparrow Healthcare System in Lansing, Michigan at the of age 23 years old. He was born May 23, 1997, the son of Timothy I. Minor, II and LaToya Robinson in Lansing, Michigan.

“Whodee,” as he was affectionately known to everyone, was a fun-loving smart kid with a big heart who loved his family. When we say it takes a village to raise a child, Whodee definitely had a village. There were so many of us that poured love and time into him. Whodee grew up in Detroit, Michigan with his Aunt Nicole and cousins. He attended Detroit Public Schools. He returned to Lansing to live with his Grandma, Judy at the age of 13. Whodee attended Everett High School. He was a jokester. Being around him was never a dull moment. You definitely needed thick skin. “Please do not get caught slippin’,” Whodee would roast anybody. Whodee didn’t always make the best decisions, but he tried to make the best of the consequences. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Timothy Minor II and LaToya Robinson; grandmother, Judy Booker, grandfather, Elder Timothy (Gloria) Minor; longtime girlfriend, Destini and her daughter, Skyelar; sisters, Ashley, Alisha (Martez), Mikya, Jebreyia, Temonie, Tiana, Ameriea and N’Quashia; brothers, Jamarious, Jason, Jordan, Supreme, Timarion and Da’Niqueco; aunts, Necole (Charles), Rachael and Pedra; uncles, LaMonta (Shanda), Michael (Angel); many other great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including his Day #1s, Ardis, William, and Dominic.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jack and Ethel Mitchell; aunt, Alberta Mitchell; two close friends, his twin, Davion “Guncho” Gaines and Kian Miller, Jr.
