April 23, 1967 — April 9, 2024

Timothy Wilson, Sr., “Tim” gained his wings on Monday, April 9, 2024, and is now whole, healthy, and free. Age 56 years. He was born on Sunday, April 23, 1967, in Blytheville, Arkansas to Charlie Andrew Wilson, Jr., and Mae Francis Wilson. He was the seventh child of ten siblings.

Tim attended and graduated from Everett High School in Lansing, Michigan and later attended Lansing Community College. He worked several places until he became a cook at Michigan State University, where he worked until his illness prevented him to. He also worked as co-operator of Boss Hog Barbecue.

Tim was a former member of Paradise Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Kelly Lafeve on Saturday, May 11, 2013. They attended Walk in Truth Ministries until his illness became more severe. Tim loved cooking BBQ, bowling, and family functions. He was one of the comedians of the family and would always be able to put a smile on your face. He fought a good fight and was at peace as he shared his last requests with his wife, Kelly, brother, Kenny, and dear cousin, Lois Davis-Thomas.

Tim leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Kelly; four sons, Timothy (Desiree Hall) Wilson Jr., Tyren Wilson, Miguael (Sha’Lyn), Wilson, and Dontae Merrill; two daughters, Kayla (PJ Price) Wilson, and Kierra Wilson; stepson, Anthony Moore; seven grandchildren, Jazlyn, J’Liana Wilson, Myah Briggs, Jerome Wilson, Brazil McCray, Kaian Nelson, and Arabella Price; father, Charlie Andrew Wilson, Jr.; five sisters, Patricia (Douglas) Westbrook of Saginaw, Michigan, LeAnn (Bill) White, Carolyn (Terrence Miller) McCloud of Irving, Texas, Kina Gordon, and Tawauna Allen; three brothers, Kenneth Wilson, Patrick Wilson, and Raymond Newell of Lansing, Michigan.

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others who have no hope.” I Thessalonian 4:13
