Tommy Beavers Jr.

Tommy Beavers Jr. was born on April 24, 1945 in Columbia, Louisiana to Tom and Martha Beavers.
When Tommy left his hometown, he met and married his soul mate, Shirley Dickens. He and Shirley established their life and raised their children in Saginaw, Michigan. Tommy had many interests including his love of traveling, hunting and fishing, preparing cookouts for family and friends, most of all, riding his motorcycle. Tommy retired from General Motors and was a member of the Saginaw Soul Survivors Motorcycle Club where he served as the National Vice President for many years. Mr. Tommy Beavers Jr. passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas after a lengthy illness. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Shirley M. Beavers; his children, Debra Robinson of Saginaw, Michigan, Rhonda Beavers and Anitra Beavers of Rockwall, Texas, and Tamara Barlow of Las Vegas, Nevada; goddaughter, Judy Finch of Saginaw, MI; brothers, Charles (Yolanda) McClain of Corpus Christi, Texas, Johnny Beavers of Killeen, Texas, Isaiah (Debra) Beavers of Rowlett, Texas and Eddie Beavers of Calhoun, Louisiana, Gregory (Phyllis) McClain of Garland, Texas, Harry McClain of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Anthony McClain, John Walker and Robert Turner of Houston, Texas ; sisters, Lillie Deguzman of Sacramento, California. Laura Roberson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Elizabeth Jones of Killeen, Texas; grandchildren, Damarlin Beavers, John T. McKinney Jr., Daiquiona Beavers, Timothy Robinson, Brianna Robinson, Iyona Beavers, DeVonia Barlow, Drayton Barlow, Ivory (Amanda) Barlow, Charles Brooks, Jr., LaToya Brooks, Tommy Bynum and Rolanda Rone; 14 great grandchildren; special great-granddaughter, Nakiyah Louise; special friends from the Soul Survivors Motorcycle Club; and a host of loving nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Martha Beavers; sisters, Samantha and Sandra Turner; his son, Tommie Rone; daughter, Angelis C. Beavers; and many aunts and uncles.
