Tommy Hollinquest Ii

February 19, 1990 — January 6, 2024

Mr. Tommy Wayne Hollinquest II “Bud” was born February 19, 1990, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Tommy Wayne Hollinquest Sr. and Juana Hollinquest. Tommy departed us on January 6, 2024, at the age of 33. Bud was the baby of the bunch.

Known to everyone as “Bud,” he attended Nelle Haley Elementary School, Ricker Middle School, and Saginaw High School. Bud had a huge heart and loving personality that drew many people to him over the years. Like his father, Tommy Sr., Bud never met a stranger. Bud was employed at Original Mackinaw Island Fudge Company.

Bud’s favorite thing to do was travel. He loved to explore new places whenever he had an opportunity to do so. Bud was loved by everyone he encountered. Bud’s greatest gift was being a father to his children and his niece “Uncle Baby.” Everything Bud did was planned around them.

Bud is survived by his parents, Tommy Wayne Hollinquest Sr. and Juana Hollinquest; grandparents, Nathaniel (Mary) Woods, and Sherlie Woods of Saginaw, Michigan; siblings, Marlaina Hollenquest, Eastman, Georgia, Demetrius Sims (Kanisha), and his “twin” Shernata Hollinquest of Saginaw, Michigan; his children, Tommy Wayne Hollinquest III, and Toriyah Hollinquest; stepson, Rico Saldana; special niece, Aubreanna Hollinquest; nieces, R’Nashia Sims, Symare Sims, and Kylah Sims, all of Saginaw, Michigan; nephews, Tytus Faicson, Tyberius Faicson, and Corian Mincey, all of Eastman, Georgia, special aunts, Sallie Gaiter (Buford) and LaTonya Woods; special uncle, Rodney (Linda) Woods, significant other Tinene Colvin, of Saginaw, Michigan; best friends Clarence (Poodie) Russell, Timothy Jones and Zakyia Young, all of Saginaw, Michigan; and the mothers of his children, Sha’Toria Barnes and La’Naiza Sparks, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, including two special cousins, Gresley Smith and Katora Woods, and other relatives and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his children, Toby and Rose Hollinquest, grandmother Luddie Pearl McKether, grandfather Tommie Payton, and aunt Rose Hollenquest.

The family would like to express special thanks to Ivan E. Phillps and Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel and everyone who reached out during their time of bereavement.
