Toni (Lansing) Trice

Today we rejoice in the knowledge that Ms. Toni Renee Trice, age 57, peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 8, 1959 in Gary, Indiana to Ann Robinson and James Jackson.
Toni, the oldest of seven children, took on the challenge of being a big sister. Growing up, Toni played a major part in her siblings lives by nurturing and giving a helping hand around their home. Ms. Trice had an enthusiastic passion with helping people in need and giving what she had to others. With this passion, she nurtured six children of her own and three that she raised as her own. Her passion for caring for others led her to a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an assisted living home. There she gracefully took care of the elderly. Toni enjoyed her career for many years. She also enjoyed watching movies, cooking, baking, shopping and most of all, eating out with her grandchildren. Ms. Trice inspired many people with her kind heart and cheerful smile. She always left others with a cozy feeling after meeting her. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Nikola Trice, Nadia Clark, Auvery Clark, Akilah Clark, Tatiana Garza, DeSarae Norman, Deasia Norman and Deshawn Norman, Holt/Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Tyler Wade, Keeon Martin, Javion Scott, Ceira Moody, Anthony Clark, Aurianna Clark, Darian Neally, Acierra Clark, Auvery Clark, Jr., Kaylah Nealy, Aceeon Clark, and NiLynn Griffith, Holt/Lansing, Michigan; parents, Ann Robinson and James Jackson; siblings, Barbara Trice, Tommy Young and Tracey Young, Gary, Indiana, Tammye Jones, Michael Fredricks and Terry Young, Lansing, Michigan; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Iesha Clark; a granddaughter, Amiyah Clark; aunts, Morty Trice, Eva May Berch and Fay Trice; uncles, Billy Trice and Gilbert Trice; and cousin, Donald (Duke) Taylor.
