Tonquinisha Jenee McKinley Ne-Ne passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 17 years. She was born October 15, 1995 in Saginaw, Michigan to Tangela Owens and Thomas McKinley.
Ne-Ne loved fashion and it showed through her unique style of dress. She loved taking tons of pictures, getting her hair done and spending time with her family and friends. Not only did she enjoy getting her hair done, she enjoyed making others look good too. She had a special talent of doing hair and nails.
Ne-Ne was an active member of Daniels Den Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Taurus Simpson. She was an 11th grade student at Saginaw High School where she was admired and loved by her peers, teachers and administrative staff. Ne-Ne leaves to cherish her memory her mother and father, Tangela Owens and Thomas McKinley Sr.; five sisters, Twylena, Tominesha, Tyani, TaMyracle and Amiya; three brothers, Thomas Jr., Travante, Aviance; grandparents, James and Kathy Owens, Diane (Willie) Marlow, William (Tina) Fisher; great-grandparents, Addie Mae Owens and Annie Bridgewater; ten aunts, Charlene, Trina, Michele and Annie McKinley, Denise (Jamie) Lay, LaTasha and Tiffany Owens, Sabrina Cannon, Michelle Fisher, Vivian Bryant; six uncles including her special uncle, James Owens Jr., James (Trina) and Willie Cannon, Anthony McKinley, Tamont and Damont Marlow; special nephews, Tylan Hopkins, Anthony Bell and Thomas McKinley III; special niece, Taylor McKinley; several cousins including her special cousins, Shenice, Breanna, Tamarea, Quintasia and Fantasia; many other relatives and friends including her special friends, Jaidah, Jamiesha, Carese and Deasia.
Tonquinisha was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Booker Jackson, a special great-uncle and aunt, Freddy and Ruby Jackson, special cousin, Tamaris Steward TJ.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Pastor Taurus and First Lady Darlene Simpson and the Daniels Den Ministries congregation, Dr. Byron and Minister Chestermae Hayes of Word of Faith International Ministries. We thank you for your prayers and continuous support.
