Torry Aaron George passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 46 years. He was born June 6, 1965 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Debra George and Aaron Arthur.
Torry was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was baptized at an early age while attending Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan. Torry was a 1983 graduate of Saginaw High School. After graduation he attended Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee, and then transferred to Morris Brown College. Torry was the operator of Brother Arthur and Son for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing video games. He especially loved being with his grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memory his fianc, Constance Hood (Peanut); two daughters, Toreka George, Ayana George; one son, Andrew George; two stepchildren, LaKeshia Hood and Daveon Southward; four grandchildren, Cory Streets Jr., Tavari Satchel Jr., Daveon Southward Jr., MeKaela Cooper; his mother, Debra George; grandmother, Dorothy George, Detroit, Michigan; ten sisters, Anita, Aretha, Autrola, Eleanore, Niya, Shamiona, Buqueonia, Sentaria, Rhema, Latramese; six brothers, Jody, Stacey, Donald, Michael, Aaron, Doniel; brother-in-law, Don Anderson; many other relatives and friends including special friends Shawn Gills, Sharon Meredith and Laraye Haynes.
He was preceded in death by his father Aaron Arthur; stepfather, Henry Moore; one brother, Alonzo Arthur; one sister, Latina Arthur; grandparents, Andrew and Opal Wells.
