Tremaine Damont Watley

March 4, 1979 — November 16, 2022

Mr. Tremaine Damont Watley was born March 4, 1979, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Bernice (Blanchard) Watley and Gordon R. Thomas, Sr. His bonus father-in-love was Larry McCray who also was an intricate part of his growing into a young man. Tremaine departed this life on November 16, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan.

Tremaine was a very outgoing and standup guy who loved to eat, play his video games, ride around listening to his music, playing jokes on people, fishing, playing hockey, shooting dice, and loving on his dog, Velvet. He was such a free-hearted spirit that others loved to be around. Tremaine lit up every room he entered, from his family to his friends and customers. Through his determination of thriving on a long road to self-sufficiency, he found his passion in selling cars and becoming known as “Mr. I Get it Done!”

He was giving all over the community, he always had a smile on his face. Tremaine through difficult times and growing pains as a young man earned his GED, was a contributor into the lives of many people that knew him and a lot of times denied himself, so others would be happy. He was a member of New Covenant Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Ron Frierson. He was never afraid to speak his mind, share wisdom with others and live his life to the fullest. One of his favorite quotes was “What’s Popping?”

He leaves to cherish his wife, Queen, and best friend, Torrence Watley; his parents, Bernice Watley, Gordon R. Thomas, Sr., and Larry McCray; his daughter, the princess that warmed his heart, Heaven Neveah Watley, whom he called, “Stankbutt!” his grandparents, Bennie Mae and Cleveland Blanchard; father-in-law, Clarence (Mary) Nickerson; brothers, Gordon Thomas Jr.,  Jabbar Thomas, Shomari Thomas, and Gordon Walker; sisters, Ebony Mathis, Tammy Thomas, Lakeshia Walker, Jada Blanchard, Jaquee Terry, Sheniqua Haulcy, Miekesha Henry and Cherylrese Henry; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, aunts, and uncles; his special friends, Byron Byrd, Anthony Harris, Antonio Brooks, Jermaine Smith, Ronald Hopkins, and Deontae Harrison.

Tremaine was preceded in death by Eric Coleman, Fredrick Williams, and Gwendolyn Thomas.
