Mr. Troy Lee McClain Sr. (Compton) passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 54 years. He was born June 12, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Aaron and Janie McClain.
Troy was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Saginaw, MI. He graduated from Compton High School in Compton, CA in 1974 where he played basketball and football. He loved playing bingo and listening to music.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Troy L. Summers, San Francisco, CA, Troy L. McClain Jr., Saginaw, MI, Harold Henry, Tacoma, WA, Latoya McClain, Orange County, CA; grandchildren, Dominique McClain, Tampa, FL, Troy McClain III, Tralea McClain, Davarion Gillespie, KeeAnna McClain, Breyuanna Lee, Kandice Saucebo all of Saginaw, MI; father, Aaron McClain; grandmother, Iciebell Weather; sisters, Mary Balls, Patricia McClain, Janice McClain, Gladys Cox, Loretta Sloan; two brothers-in-law, Edward Cox, Gary Sloan; two special cousins, Debra Byrd, Warren Franklin Jr.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including, June Brooks and Diana. Troy was preceded in death by his daughter, Troynetta A. McClain; granddaughter, TryAnna McClain; mother, Janie McClain; sister, Wandalynn McClain; brother, Leon McClain; uncle, Willie McClain and Warren Franklin Sr; brother-in-law, Burnest Balls, aunt, Leola Franklin.
