Tyler Tyrone Halmon blessed this world with his presence on October 4, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan. Born to Eddie Lee and Juanita Halmon, he brought joy the moment he arrived. He was called home to be with his Savior on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the age of 56 years.
Tyler, lovingly called “Tee” by family and friends, accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Bethesda Baptist Church, where he was baptized into the family of believers. He graduated from Saginaw High School, “Class of 1981”, before attending Lansing Community College.
Tee loved watching sports on all levels. He was most passionate about Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, HIS Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys. But more than Magic and Kobe, Tee loved the Lord and his family, especially his two sons. His boys were his life and he set a wonderful example for them of what it means to be a man.
Tee was known for his beautiful voice. He was the Tin Man in Saginaw High's production of The Wiz. He sang in the Soul Choir at Saginaw High and also in the choir at Bethesda Baptist Church and many other churches in Saginaw and the surrounding areas. His favorite song was “I Don’t Know What I’d Do if the Lord Wasn’t on my Side.” Tee knew the Word and could quote scripture with ease. More importantly, he lived the Word he talked and sang about.
Tee was everybody’s baby. He could talk to any person on any level and relate to them. His beautiful hair, voice and spirit will truly be missed.
Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Eddie L. Halmon; nephew, Eddie Brazil; aunts, Essma Campbell, Mary Gardner, Connie Nathan; uncles, John Nathan and Lawrence "LD" (Josephine) Halmon.
