Mrs. Ursula Edwards was born August 18, 1922 in Wabbaseka, Arkansas to Raymond and Sarah Palmer. She took her rest on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the beautiful age of 97 years.
Ursula was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1943.” She worked for the United States Postal Service and was Vice-President of the Mail Handlers Union.
Ursula was the cook extraordinaire and loved baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was a faithful member of Greater Williams Temple. Her favorite shirt bore the saying “When God created me He was just showing off.” And we wholeheartedly agree.
Ursula was preceded in death by two husbands, Jessie Daily and Fred Edwards; grandson, Joseph Redeemer, Jr.; parents, Raymond and Sarah Palmer; brothers, Garland, Leonard Palmer; niece, Kimberly Palmer; son-in-law, LH Blackmon.
She leaves endearing memories with her children, Maurice (Betty) Daily; Michele Barkley; stepson, Peter Edwards, New York; grandchildren, LaTangela (Major) Daily, Unceld Daily, Atlanta, Georgia, Bryan (Yolanda) Blackmon, New York, China Daily, Melvin P.
