Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the age of 51 years. Mrs. Valarie Denice Wright was born June 4, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan to Carrie Mae Bigby and Jim Ramsey.
Valarie found Christ at an early age, at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor R.B. Corley, Sr. She graduated from Saginaw High School, “Class of 1984.” Valarie was employed with the Saginaw Intermediate School District Head Start program for twenty-six years. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, and more shopping.
She leaves to cherish loving memories her husband of twenty-nine years, Troy Wright, Sr., Saginaw, Michigan; one daughter, LaToya (Jeffrey) Williams, Tampa, Florida; one son, Troy (Indya) Wright, Jr., Saginaw, Michigan; Patrick McWright, also of Saginaw, Michigan, who was raised as a son; three granddaughters, Janiyah, Tory, Taylor; four grandsons, Jeffrey, Jaylen, Tyler and Tiger; four sisters, Belinder Reed, Alisa (Marion Jr.) Griffith, Pamela (Samuel) Cordwell, Casandra Dorsey, all of Saginaw, Michigan; three brothers, David (Stephanie) McMillon, Calvin (Joy) McWright, and Larry Nelson, all of Saginaw, Michigan; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special niece, Anita Moore; goddaughter, Shawanna Pershay.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie Mae Bigby and Jim Ramsey; one sister, Shirley McWright; one brother, London Cox; one niece, Resheema McMillon, and one aunt, Dale Cauthen.
