Valerie relocated to Saginaw, Michigan with her family as a young child. She was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend John Goodman. Valerie Loved to draw and sew. She was always the life of the party. Valerie was affectionately known to her grandchildren as NaNah. She always reminded them of her unconditional love she had in her heart for them. Valerie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Valena C. Palmore-Shepard; several god-children including Ciara Young; grandchildren, Vion-Tre Palmore Tre, Adonis Palmore Donis (Semariyah Mounger), Kalena Thomas Kayte a great grandson who is due any day, Adonis AJ Palmore II; two god-sisters, Merilyn and Gwendolyn Goodman; two god-nieces, LaToya Young and Shanell Calhoun; many cousins including, Elizabeth Williams-Joiner, Tonja Bryson, James Williams Jr., Andrei Williams, John Williams, Iris Bryson; Many other relatives and friends including special friends, Charles Chapman Freddy, Beatrice Chapman and the entire Chapman family.Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ruth Palmore, aunts, Johnnie Mae Randall and Berlene Goins, uncles, James and Ralph Williams, one brother, Reginald Palmore, one granddaughter, Viara Darby.The family would like to express special thanks to the University of Illinois-Chicago Medical Center 6th floor ICU nurses.
