Mr. Vandy Lane III was born August 26, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan to Vandy Jr. and Jewel M. Lane. He returned home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Omni Convalescent Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Vandy was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1979.” He was employed at the Dow Event Center and Simoni Systems, Inc. as a sound technician. He was a man of God and a faithful member of Dominion Life Ministries.
Vandy loved music. His taste was eclectic, as he enjoyed several genres of music. His favorite artist was the great Jimi Hendrix. He loved to hear the sound of Jimi’s overdriven amplifiers and high volume. Vandy’s love for life and music was an inspiration and he will be deeply missed.
Vandy way preceded in death by his parents, Vandy Jr. and Jewel M. Lane.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty-six years, Kathryn Lane; five children, James Lavell, Vandy IV, Latrisha, Katrina and Katayah Lane; one granddaughter, Mariah; two sisters, April (Terry) Bracey, Lekoya Lane; six stepbrothers and sisters, Felicia, Jacquise, Marsha, Vanessa (LeRoy), Edmond (Mitzi), Eddie (Ann); special aunt, Sarah Jones; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
