Vanquavyis O. Tinsley

August 13, 1994 — January 23, 2021

Mr. VanQuavyis O. Tinsley graced the world with his presence on August 13, 1994 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Cedric Tinsley and Helen Rowland. God called his name on Saturday, January 23, 2021 to be at peace and at rest.

VanQuavyis, known as “Qua”, was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, “Class of 2012”. He was employed at Landaal Packaging but had dreams of being a fashion designer. Qua loved to design clothes and fashion was his passion. He also loved to travel, dance and listen to music. He would try to sing but he was better at just listening to the music.

Qua was a protector. He loved his family and friends fiercely and would do anything for them. He was very outspoken, always giving his opinion and speaking his mind. He was the life of every party and a bright light dimmed too soon. His presence, his smile and his laughter will truly be missed.

VanQuavyis was preceded in death by one cousin, Vedal Chandler.

He leaves precious memories with his father, Cedric (Hazelyn) Tinsley and mother, Helen Rowland (Randy Yearby); stepfather, Jeffrey Beamon; grandparents, James and Sarah Rowland; sisters, Carlisha Smith, Diamond Ashworth; brothers, Deandre Coleman, Davarrio Coleman, Harvey Johnson, Jr., Peter Dennis, Chris Smith; nieces, Hannah Smith, Gabriella Coleman; aunts, Sandra, Janice, Lorise, Gloria, Tiannia Rowland, Maria Myers, Debra and Elizabeth Tinsley; uncles, James and Van Rowland, Charles and Steve Tinsley; special cousin, Shawndrika Pulliam; godson, Stephen Thomas; many other loved ones and friends, including special friends Austin, Antoinette, Desirea, Myesha, Brianna, Brandy, Antoria, Vivica, Marques and Teaerra.

The family would like to express special thanks to all their family and friends for their kind thoughts and prayers, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
