Vera Mae Farrow passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center. Age 73 years. She was born November 24, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to Susie Johnson and Ted Parker.
Vera accepted Christ at an early age at Glory Temple Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed laughing, singing gospel songs and playing bingo. Vera loved watching her favorite soap opera, All my children and spending time with her family and friends. Gone but never forgotten, her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Prince, Carmen (Dave) Whittington, Annie (Sherman) Byrd; two sons, Curtis (Elaine) Farrow, James (Betty) Bland; thirty-nine grandchildren including her special grand-daughters, Stephanie Farrow and Lacresha Stanford; fifty great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Parker; four nieces; four nephews; three aunts; one uncle; several cousins including a special cousin, Linda Dozier; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Mammie Jones.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Farrow Sr., one daughter, Patricia Works, parents, Susie Johnson and Ted Parker, one brother, James Parker, two grandsons, Napoleon Works and James Key, one granddaughter, Tracy Farrow.
