Verdise Tucker passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her residence. Age 82 years. She was born December 5, 1930 in Clanton, Alabama to Bruce and Ethel McDaniel.
Verdise moved to Saginaw, Michigan at a young age. She married Judson Tucker and out of this union two daughters were born, Loretta and Lovada. She also raised her nephew David as her honorary son. Verdise was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Edwards. She was a homemaker and loving mother who loved taking care of her family and friends in the time of need. Verdise was the ultimate Big Mama who was well loved and will definitely be missed by all who knew and loved her. So long for now, until we all meet again.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory two daughters, Loretta Hendrix, Lovada (Victor Sr.) Banks; one "Honorary" son, David McDaniel; grandchildren, Fredrick Aundre Ruth and Tamika Shantae Ruth, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Victor Damone Banks Jr. of Gilbert, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Cameron Mitchell, Rodrick York, Atwan Grice; one sister, Cherry Lee Alexander; one brother, Leamon McDaniel; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends including special friend, Lillie Harris.
Verdise was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Ethel McDaniel, four sisters and one brother.
The family wishes to express special thanks to everyone who offered a kind word, condolences and prayers during our time of bereavement.
