Mr. Vergus (Virgil) Scott, our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at his residence. Age 55 years. Mr. Scott was born January 30 ,1955 in Saginaw, Michigan to Paul and Gertrude Scott.
Vergus was a fun and loving guy. He brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Gertrude Davis, Grand Rapids, MI; one sister, Tracey Scott, Grand Rapids, MI; two brothers, Ricky Scott, Muskegon, MI, Michael (Bonita) Scott Grand Rapids, MI; five nephews, Terry (Tamara) Johnson, Grand Rapids,MI, James Johnson, Saginaw, MI, Rodney (Goldie) Johnson, Grand Rapids, MI, Quincy (Kia) Johnson, Lansing, MI, David Gordon, Raeford, NC; a special great nephew, Jaylin Johnson; three nieces, Nakisha Scott, London, England, Cassie Gordon, Marquisha Kennedy both of Grand Rapids, MI; two aunts, Johnnie Mae Hill, Philadelphia, PA, Mattie Knight, Newark, NJ; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Scott, two sisters, Mary Scott and Paulette Johnson, one brother, Willie Scott.
