Verna Williams passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at her residence. Age 91 years. She was born March 17, 1921 in Fayette, Mississippi to Percy and Sallie Nichols.
Verna was a member of Jacobs Ladder Baptist Church and a member of the Mother's Board. She retired from Bob Evans Restaurant. She enjoyed eating out and visiting with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Verna B. Salmond, Rhonda Roach; two goddaughters, Margaret (Walter) Lashore, Azalee (J.T.) Landrum; one sister, Willie Ethel (Leonard) Brinkley; fourteen grandchildren, Craig Salmond, Evette (Author) Thomas, Malcolm Roach, Lisa, Anthony, Cassandra, Stephanie Williams, Tanisha Jackson, Katrina (Stacey) Welch, Craig Salmond, Kiearra Salmond, Kalandice and Makala Thomas, Maliq Roach; two special nieces, Catherine Pharm, Sallie Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams; son, Robert Williams Jr.; Grandson, Robert Williams III, and three brothers.
