Vivian Foster (Lansing)

December 22, 1955 — July 3, 2019

Mrs. Vivian Harris Foster made her transition on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. She was born December 22, 1955 to Florence Flagg in Memphis, Tennessee.

Vivian had such a free loving spirit as a child. She accepted Christ at an early age. Vivian graduated from Lansing J. W. Sexton High School; then proceeded to attend Lansing Community College in the nursing program. Before completing her studies, Vivian found her calling with childcare. She and her mother provided day childcare for over 30 years. During that time, Vivian became a mother of two sons.

Vivian married Alvin Foster on August 12, 1993. Their marriage created a family consisting of her two sons, Alvin’s three daughters and one daughter of their own. They felt blessed to have a wonderful, loving family! Vivian enjoyed cooking, listening to music, dancing, learning about science and especially spending time with her family and friends. We will remember her as a sweet, loving kind-hearted person who would always try to help people.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband, Alvin; four daughters, Amber, Nicole (Steven), Angels (Charles) and Kimberly (Omar); two sons, Neil (Cindy) and Jaron; three sisters, Marva, Darya and Karen; two brothers, Tyrone and Richard; fourteen grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jean; three brothers-in-law, Benny, Mike (Netta) and Melvin; godbrother, Greg and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including her special dog, Ajax.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Flagg.
