Vivian (Lansing) Taylor

Vivian Taylor-Bowers passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 66 years. She was born February 2, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan, daughter of Robert and Carrie Hicks.
Vivian was loved and favored much while growing up in a home in Lansing, Michigan with 11 other siblings. She grew to be a strong willed woman with a heart of gold. Vivian had a passion to love those who were down-trodden, homeless, or hungry, opening her home to anyone who needed shelter. Genuine love exuded from her very being, she gave of herself wholeheartedly. While working as a laborer in the automotive industry, Vivian spent quality time with her 19 grandchildren as well has enjoying precious moments with 13 great grandchildren. She pursued gardening in her free time.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Carrie Hicks; four daughters, Katrina Taylor, Shawnta Taylor, Nikisha Taylor and Courtney Harris; two sons O.C. Bowers Jr. and Michael Clark, and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, O.C. Bowers; loving father, Robert Hicks; two sisters and one brother.
