Von Maurice Watson (Lansing)

Mr. Von Maurice Watson of Lansing, Michigan passed away, Saturday, February 14, 2015 at McLaren Greater Lansing at the age of 53 years. He was born June 24, 1961 in Lansing, Michigan to Edward W. Watson and Marie Gilbert.
Mr. Watson was a lifetime resident of Lansing, Michigan and attended Harry Hill High School. He loved life, bowling, fishing, pool, movies and music. Von loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved his hats they had to match everything he wore. He joined Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Melvin T. Jones after losing his brother Yogi in an effort to get closer to God.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Javon M. Watson; two daughters, Autumn (Bryron) McKiney and Armeia L. King; two grandchildren, Adonis and Amarie McKiney; three sisters, EdDena Joplin, Sabrina Watson of Battle Creek, Michigan and Andrea (Darryl) Ray of Flint, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and friends including special nephew, Bryon Johnson and special sister/cousin, Anita J. Oglesby for all she has done for the family during this trying time.
Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Watson, mother, Macie Gilbert, sons, Andrew and Anthony Watson, brother, Arthur L. Watson, sister, Cynthia Foster.
