Mr. Warren Charles Abernathy passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. Age 57 years. He was born on July 9, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to Walter T. Abernathy, Sr. and Minnie (Black) Abernathy.
Warren attended Saginaw Public Schools and received his GED. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church under leadership of Pastor Judy Boli. Warren loved fast cars, fixing cars, and the Buick Roadmaster he owned. Most of all, Warren loved spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Minnie Dorsett; three sisters, Cynthia Abernathy, Antoinette (Larry) Moore, Natalie (Robert) Jackson and Darcyl Abernathy; four brothers, Ronald Williams, Walter Abernathy, Jr., Clarence (Delores) Abernathy and Bernard Abernathy; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special nephew, Devonte Moore; fiance, Debbie Baker; other relatives and friends; special friends, Virgil Walker and John Moore.
Mr. Abernathy was preceded in death by his father, Walter T. Abernathy, Sr., two sisters, Deborah and Renee Abernathy; one brother, Jahmal Dorsett; grandparents, Smith and Marie McClain, Lott and Minnie Shaw, Benny and Kathleen Miller, and special nephew, Walter T. Abernathy, III.
The family expresses special thanks to Covenant Healthcare CCU and everyone who offered expressions of sympathy during our bereavement.
In accordance with Warrens wishes, cremation has taken place.
