W.B. 'William' Booker

March 6, 1936 — September 14, 2015

Mr. W.B. William Broderick Booker departed this earthly life on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the age of 79 years. He was born March 6, 1936 in Senatobia, Mississippi to William Booker and Rose Mae Bland.
William was a member of Bethlehem Temple Church of Apostolic Faith in Flint, Michigan where he was baptized on April 30th in 1972 and received the gift of the Holy Ghost on May 1st. He later became a faithful member of Bethlehem Temple Church of Apostolic Faith in Saginaw, Michigan under the pastorate of the late Elder Calvin Butler. William retired after many years of service from General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 668. His presence will be truly missed. William Booker enjoyed traveling, and had an admiration for nature. He enjoyed country music and western movies. Most of all, he loved God and his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Shonyrecca Booker of Saginaw, Michigan and Theresa Taylor of San Jose, California; four sons, William Booker III of Cleveland, Ohio, Lysander D. (Marguerite) Booker of Saginaw, Michigan, Samuel D. (Bakea) Booker of Flint, Michigan, Kent D. (Shelene) Booker of San Jose, California; grandchildren, Shonda L. Booker, Lysander J. Booker Jr., LyIana Armstrong, LyAndria Booker, Theonna Joy Taylor, Shavonna Faith Taylor. Breonna Love Taylor, Eden C.V. Booker and Avayah L. Booker; two sisters, Elizabeth (Willie) Graham and Nellie (James) Short both of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Daniel (Florine) Booker of Memphis, Tennessee; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Bro. Elihue Crudup, Deacon Willie Weems, Brother Willie Shaw, Brother David Beane, Pastor Wilson Fentress and Elder MC Baskin.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William Booker and Rose Bland Booker, one daughter, Maureen Booker, four sisters, Willie Mae Booker, Rosie Mae Mitchell, Hummie McClinton and Emma Booker, two brothers, John Larry Booker and Reverend David Booker.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Pastor Curtis Johnson and the Bethlehem Temple Church family, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
