Wendell Butler

Mr. Wendell Earl Butler was born February 1, 1936 in Pascagoula, Mississippi to the late Roosevelt Butler and Louise Lightfoot. After graduating from high school in 1957, he moved to Saginaw, Michigan. He worked at General Motors for 33 years and was a member of UAW Local 668. Mr. Butler was very active in the church and committed his life to God. He was a former assistant pastor of House of Prayer Apostolic Church and is a current member of Bethlehem Temple Church. Mr. Butler had a pleasant personality, always smiling and enjoyed traveling, loved music and helping others.
Mr. Wendell Earl Butler passed away suddenly on Friday, August 7, 2009 at St. Marys of Michigan at the age of 73. His memory will be cherished by his children: Robert Stinger, Jennifer Butler, Wendell Brian Butler, Michelle Butler and Kevin Howard; grandchildren: Julian Butler, Stephon Butler and Dylon Stinger; close cousin Ervin Butler and his former wife Wynonah Butler and a host of other close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ernest Poke and stepmother Rebecca Butler.
