We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Wendell Watson, age 42 of Newnan, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan on August 5, 2016 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Wendell Robert Watson, Jr. passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 in Newnan, Georgia. Age 42 years.


Mr. Wendell Robert Watson, Jr. Was born March 14, 1974 in Saginaw, MI to the late Sarah Lee Haynes and Wendell Robert Watson Sr. He was a graduate of Saginaw High School and ITT Technical Institute.


Wendell is survived by his doting wife of 22 years, his high school sweetheart, Donita, his children: DaWanna (Brandon) Smith of Saginaw, MI; Desiree, NaTajha, and Wendell III of Newnan, GA; his four grandchildren: Brielle, Brandon, Jr., Bryson, and Braydon Smith all of Saginaw, MI; his siblings: Antonio (Chariclea) Sims, Sr. of Newnan, GA, Rochenda Watson of Saginaw, MI, Solathian (Tierra) Liggins of Saginaw, MI, Kamesa (Johnny) Sanders of Ypsilanti, MI, TuLisha Haynes of Mesquite, TX, Breezely Coleman of Saginaw, MI, Travelle (Temisha) Haynes Sr. of Flint, MI, Shalah Austin of Detroit, MI, and Trinesha Beloch, of Saginaw, MI. Three God-daughters: Brittney Jamerson, Amber Hicks and Antinneah Sims. He is greatly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; including special friends: Kevin (Felice) Bond, Sr., Darwin (Lawanda) Johnson, Sr. and Emmanuel Long.

Wendell enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, sports, and bowling. Wendell was hardworking, dedicated and a loving family man. After God, his wife, kids and grandkids were dearest to his heart. He worked as an engineer for many years.

Wendell was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Viola Beeler, Grandparents Arthur and Louise Watson, Grandmother Hattie Davis, Grandfather Willie Birk, Mother Sarah Lee Haynes, and nephew Antonio Sims II.
