William Collins

March 30, 1935 — November 15, 2013

William Collins Peanut passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at Luther Manor Nursing Home. Age 78 years. He was born March 30, 1935 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Stancey Collins and Rebecca Brown.
William relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1945. He was a retiree of Ernie Foxx Cars, Malleable Iron Foundry and was a member of UAW Local 455. William was a master at playing cards always saying, I got sense. He was an avid reader who loved spending time with his friends and family. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Sarah Flinnon, Vernadette Stevenson, Mary (Anthony Wilson) Collins, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Rebecca McAdory, Livinia (Maurice Elliot) Collins, Rosanna (Lawrence) Knowles, Tina Collins-Waller, all of Florida; one stepson, Ronald (Sandra) Stapleton of Saginaw, Michigan; twenty grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Henrene (Willie) Robison, Brenda (Clarence) Brown, Diane Haynes, Nora (James) Bland, Linda Collins, Georgia Shade; one brother, Calvin Shade; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, JoeAnn (William) Johnson and Ruth Ann Harris; many cousins including special cousin, Odis Brown; one brother-in-law, JC Frazier; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Saul (Sue) Rincher, Bobby and Reverend John Rincher, Lou Warren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Rebecca Wilson and Stancey Collins, two daughters, Debra Hill and Carol Davis, sisters, Annie Frazier, Sandra and Zenobia Collins, brothers, William Collins and Paul Shade, grandchildren, Tammie Cannon, Ida Coldwell and Lewis Reynolds Jr.
The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Healthcare, Luther Manor, JoeAnn Johnson and Ruth Ann Harris for the special care they provided to William.
