Mr. William McDaniel Bill departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Luther Manor Nursing Home. Age 92 years. He was born December 15, 1922 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Luella McDonald and William Cork.
William proudly joined the United States Army in 1945, faithfully serving as a cook with the 24th Infantry Regiment Technician 5th grade. William excelled in cooking and loved making gumbo. He was a life member of the North American Fishing Club. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his devoted wife, Elsie Collier-McDaniel; two stepsons, Samuel George Collier of York, Pennsylvania and James Edward Collier of Texas City, Texas; grandchildren, Rhonda Collier, Roxanne Collier, Samuel Collier and Pamela Collier; a host of great-grandchildren; several cousins including special cousins, Katie Mills, Tommie Orange Jr., Charles and David Orange; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Leon Terrell.
