Mr. William A.D. Tucker, Jr. passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 73. He was born June 10, 1950, in Braden, Tennessee, to Mary and William A.D. Tucker, Sr.

He was employed at Saginaw County Community Action Center (C.A.C.) working with the elderly, and where he developed a passion for community and people. William, or “Sweet Tuck,” as he was known, had a special love for playing dominoes. He loved watching CNN and Western movies. He was a conversationalist and a great debater on political issues, news, and sports. William loved playing with his grandchildren. He was a loving person with a great sense of humor. Most importantly, he loved family. William was a stern person with a loving heart; to have known him was to love him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Norma Tucker; three children, William (Jovanna) Whittington, Lakeisha Whittington, and Lacreda (Antonio) Colbert; six stepchildren, Felicia (Timothy) Carter, Antoinette Taylor, Albert Townsend, Neisa Townsend, Faith Townsend, and Tavirio Townsend; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one aunt, Geraldine Burnside; one niece, Julie Scott; one nephew, Darnell Jones; special cousins, Sandra K Broadnax, Eli “Mayne” Broadnax, Barbara “Jean” Hicks and Charles Jones; special friends, Terry Triplet, Larnell Whittington, James York, Larry McKenney, Curley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
