Mr. Willie Louis Adkins, Sr. of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the age of 52 years. He was born May 1, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan to Beauford and Jennie Ruth Adkins.
Willie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized by the Clearstone Baptist Church of Carrollton, Michigan under the leadership of the late Reverend Braggs. His membership continued at New Morning Star under the late Reverend Johnnie Goodman. Willie attended school in Saginaw at St. Marys Cathedral High School, later completing his GED. Following his lifes passion, Willie became a licensed contractor and established the Pigg Investment and Home Repair business. He loved working on houses and cars. Willie also worked for Laser Dynamics. He especially loved to joke and take care of everybody. He developed a specialty for preparing barbeque and frying fish. Willie will be missed by those who dearly loved him and his jokes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years, Roslyn Adkins; two daughters, Shatia Adkins, Sharniki Stanford; one son, TreWil Adkins; five grandsons, Dion Hardy, DiOnquavis Hardy, AmaRius Ligon, Kristopher Stephens, Xavier Adkins; two granddaughters, DaMya Hardy, JaDah Stacey; one great-grandchild, Amarion Hardy; three sisters, Betty (Elvin) Caldwell, Marie Adkins, Blanda (George) Pitts; three brothers, Beauford Adkins, Jr., Ray Shepherd, Orlando Adkins; ten nieces including special nieces, Corinna and Octevia Adkins; thirteen nephews, including special nephew Jahmel Washington; one aunt, Mildred Brown; one uncle, Luther Adkins; father-in-law, Russell Smith; six brothers-in-law including one special brother-in-law, LaMark (Cynthia) Pleasant; many other relatives and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Jennie Ruth Adkins and Reverend Beauford Adkins, Sr.; one sister, Dorotha Washington; one son, Willie Adkins, Jr.; mother-in-law, Diane Green; one brother, Christopher Graham; one aunt, Betty Shepherd; and one nephew, Andre Adkins.
