Willie Angelo Colbert "Geuse"

February 18, 1971 — September 24, 2018

Willie "Geuse"Angelo Colbert was born February 18, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois to Betty Colbert- Davis and Willie Gordon. He graduated high school and attended Delta College. Geuse moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and for the last three years he was employed at Agropur. He took pride in every job he held.

Willie loved all genres of music but rap was his favorite. He listened to this music and perfected his own craft and grew to be a great rapper himself. He loved dancing, having a good time and he was always the life of the party.

More than anything, Geuse was a family man. He loved his family and his friends were like family to him. His greatest joy was when he became a grandfather. He loved his granddaughter Ayana and loved spending time with her. His style, presence, and his smile will be missed tremendously but he will live on through his music.

On Monday, September 24, 2018, Willie gained his wings and joined his father, Willie Gordon; grandmother, Lillie Brooks; uncle, Luther Brooks.

He leaves to celebrate his life his mother, Betty Colbert-Davis; daughter, Mia Wemigwans; son, Raschi Angelo Colbert; life partner, Victoria Ribble; two stepchildren, Richlynd “Fish” Smithers, Arielle Wemigwans; granddaughter, Ayana Colbert; sister, Deshawn (Anthony) Colvin; brother, Antonio (LaCreda) Colbert; nieces, A’Nyah Whittington, Antonia Colbert; nephews, Jason, Anthony, Deangelo Colbert; Orlando Shy, Antonio Colbert, Darrius Whittington, A’Mire Colbert; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Miron “Slim” Thomas, Ricky “Slick” Thomas, Joseph “Crunch” Coleman, Leon “Lazy” Thomas, Fred “Large” Chandler, Broderick “BJam” McAfee, Cedric “Ced” McAfee, William “PD” Smith, Nichole “Nikki” Noland, Townhouse family, YG’s, Lanette Maxwell, Faheem Vedo and Brendan "Butter" Reed.
