Willie B. Batchelor (Lansing)

Willie B. Batchelor passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Age 73 years. He was born May 12, 1945 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the son of A. B. Batchelor and Queen Ester Bonds.

Willie was a resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and formally of Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Stigall High School in Humboldt, Tennessee. Former employee of both General Motors Corporation and Motor Wheel. Willie loved fishing, cooking, yardwork, and he loved to travel and listen to music. He also loved taking pictures, laughing, joking, talking, teaching and loved his family dearly.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Marcus (Brenda) Batchelor, Lansing, Michigan, Terry Weakly, Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Nikala McAbee, Andrea (Bryan) Coney, Markiese Clay, Keyonna Smith, Brenden Batchelor, Marcus Batchelor, Jr., Dometrice Allen, Sigmond Evans and Evonnia Evans; great-grandchildren, Bryanna, Bryan, Brayden, Landen, Ayden, Elisha, Layla and Prince; five sisters, Jerlean, Christine, Vernita, Shirley and Pearl; four brothers, Edward, Arthur, Jerry and Johnnie; a host of loving nieces and nephews; five aunts; one uncle; two sisters-in-law, Queen and Linda; three brothers-in-law, Johnston, Joe and Stanley; many other relatives and friends including special friends the Burtley Family.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Batchelor; daughter, Stephanie Batchelor; father and mother, A.B. and Queen Ester Batchelor; sister, Mamie Marable; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Eddie Lou Weakly.
