Willie "Bo" Anderson Iii (Lansing)

Willie “Bo” Clarence Anderson III was born April 4, 1961 in Hartford, Alabama to the Rev. Willie Clarence Anderson II and Ivy Anderson.

Willie was raised in Hartford, Alabama, but later in life he moved to Lansing, Michigan to be close to family. He obtained employment at the Radisson Hotel and worked there for several years. Willie also rededicated his life to Christ in 2004, uniting with Tabernacle of David under the leadership of Pastor Larry Trice, Jr. He served in the house of the Lord for many years as a janitor in the church. Willie loved his family dearly. He was very close to the young children in our family, enjoying spending his free time with those whom he loved. Willie spent so much time mainly with his first cousin Derrick Briggs, most people thought Derrick and Willie were brothers, not cousins. Willie had a never-ending desire to meet and greet his sister, Lillie Briggs at least 2-3 times a week for a home cooked meal, to which he faithfully looked forward. “Bo” will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Lillie Briggs and Valorie Greasham; one brother, Andre (Diane) King, Sr.; one niece, Antoniette Greasham; two nephews, Elisha Greasham and Andre King, Jr; two aunts, Kalenna Briggs and Ruby Nash; three uncles, Julius Briggs, Jr., Adolph (Shirley) Briggs Sr.; and J. C. Briggs; many cousins, including, Venessa Howell, Derrick Briggs, Vincent Nash, Eric Briggs, and Kristina Briggs; god-son Detrieece Briggs and many other relatives and friends including special family and friends at Capitol Commons.

Willie was predeceased by his parents, Rev. Willie Clarence Anderson II and Ivy Anderson; his grandparents, Clara and Julius, Sr. Briggs, Lanie and Willie C. Anderson; nephew, Gabriel Greasham; and cousin Sophia Briggs.

The family would like to express special thanks to the CCU Cardiac Care Unit Staff, Pastor Larry Trice, Jr. and Tabernacle of David Church, and the many friends and family too many to mention.
