Willie Earl Washington Sr.

Mr. Willie Earl Washington Sr. of Lansing, Michigan passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 49 years. Willie was born April 16, 1964 in Cleveland, Mississippi to Cora L. Washington and George Herron.
Willie E. Washington Sr. relocated to Lansing, Michigan at the age of 17. He was employed for several years at Omars and then went on to work as a maintenance man for the Colonial Bar & Grill. Willie loved to detail cars and shop at thrift stores. He met his wife in May of 1998 and they were married October 29, 2001. Willie loved Michigan State University sports and will be missed at all the football games where he and his family would tailgate yearly. He loved his family and was a faithful loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Elizabeth Manning-Washington of Lansing, Michigan; two daughters, Kaleea Manning-Washington and Promise Washington both of Lansing, Michigan; three sons, DeVontavies Brown of Houston Texas, Tony Wills and Willie E. Washington Jr., both of Lansing, Michigan; step-children, JaQuisha Manning of Douglasville, Georgia, Remeka Manning of Lansing, Michigan and Centerria Manning of Kalamazoo, Michigan; grandchildren, Renidja E. Outlaw (Nini), Amiya M. Outlaw (Squeaky), Thomas E. Outlaw III (Trey), all of Lansing, Michigan and Leah L. Manning of Douglasville, Georgia; mother, Cora L. (Washington) Robinson; six sisters, Jackie Washington, Michelle James, Angela Washington, all of Lima, Ohio, Shontay Robinson of Bradenton, Florida, Reshun and Nafateesha Robinson, both of Cleveland, Mississippi; two brothers, Sedrick Washington of Lima, Ohio and Deontae Robinson of Cleveland, Mississippi; three aunts, Babbie (Ray) Williams, Raye Washington, Bernice (Earl) Porter; two uncles, Tommie (Lottie) Washington Sr., Tampa (Susie) Washington, Sr.; mother-in-law Deborah (Joe) Hughes; father-in-law, Robert E. Manning,; two sisters-in-laws, Patricia Manning of Lansing, Michigan and Jessica Fowlks of Holt, Michigan; two brothers-in-law, Robert E. Manning Jr. and James A. Manning both of Lansing, Michigan.
Willie was preceded in death by his stepson, Joseph R. Manning of Lansing, Michigan and uncle, Willie Washington of Mississippi.
