Willie Mike Johnson has been allowed to return to our Lord. Willie was a wonderful, beloved brother, father and humble servant.
He was born January 4, 1968 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Willie and Bernice (Harris) Johnson. Willie departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 47 years.
Willie attended Saginaw High school and was a self-employed mechanic in the Saginaw, Michigan area. Willie loved doing things for others. He enjoyed tinkering and coming up with inventions, some of which he holds some patents. He could do wonders with a car engine. Willie did so many wonderful things while crossing the paths of those he came in contact with. He was considered by all who knew him as a good friend and was well known throughout his neighborhood as a great person, inside and out.
A true comedian at heart, he enjoyed a good laugh and was always eager to match wits and banter with the best of us. Those who knew him best knew he liked to tinker, enjoyed conversation, watching a good movie and spending time with friends and family members. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory his children, Nicolaus Wearrien and Shirlonda Johnson; grandchildren, Jaydyn Goss, Aria Wearrien and Maiya Wearrien; his brothers, John (Melanie) Johnson of Flint, Michigan and Gregory (Melissa) Johnson of Caguas, Puerto Rico; half-brother, Mark Johnson; Willie is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many of whom held him dear to their heart including special friends like Sherri Hannahs and many others that played an important part in his life.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice (Harris) Johnson and sister, Denise (Johnson) Price.
The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, thoughts and acts of kindness.
