Willie Lee Washington

Washington, Willie Lee, father, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his residence. Age 44 years. He was born July 21, 1967 in Isola, Mississippi to Dorothy (Nanny) Washington and James Lockhart.
He was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries under the leadership of Elder Christopher V. Pryor. Willie was a graduate of Saginaw High School and attended the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy where he enjoyed acting. Willie was employed for 22 years at Covenant Healthcare as a surgical technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory one son, William Devon Washington, his sons mother Gretta Wilson of South Carolina; seven sisters: Dorothy Ann Washington and Celestine (Lewis) Ward of College Park, Georgia, Ruby and Barbara Washington, Annette (Shawn) Clack of Saginaw, MI, Mary Jane and Sarah Jane Lockhart of Chicago, IL; six brothers, Percy (Ethel) and Collins (Wanda) Washington of Saginaw, Glen (Kelly) Lockhart, Eddie, Samuel, Roosevelt, Casey and Jerry Lockhart all of Chicago, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Tony, Kip, John and James.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Washington and James Lockhart; brothers Melvin, Roosevelt Washington, Henry Morris; uncles, Nathaniel and John Johnson, William Byrd.
The family extends a special thanks to Pastor Pryor and the Victorious Believers Ministries church family and the entire second floor staff of Covenant Healthcare Coopers surgical department.
