Willie "Steve" White

January 28, 1932 — October 29, 2018

Mr. Willie “Steve” White was born January 28, 1932 in Greensboro, Alabama to the late Lillie Bell White and Willie Stevenson. He passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Age 86 years.

Steve joined the United States Army and served his country proudly during the Korean War. As a long-term resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He joined Zion Valley Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Rincher. He was employed with General Motors Corporation Grey Iron Foundry and a faithful member of UAW Local 668.

When Steve wasn’t working, he enjoyed socializing with family and friends and listening to the blues. In addition, he loved to dress up. No matter where he went, he was stepping out clean and fly. He believed how a man dressed said a lot about his character. His style spoke volumes about who he was. Steve was confident, distinguished, and full of personality. He dressed well on earth and he is dressed even better now in heaven, adorned in his royal garments.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Lanetta White; daughter, Zelda Ragland; parents, Willie Stevenson and Lillie Bell White; sister, Maggie Willis.

He leaves to celebrate his life two daughters, Tracey White, Debra Peeples; three sons, Tony Patton, Daryl Frierson, Steven (Charlotte) Davis; sister, Geniva W. Allen; grandchildren, Marquise, Keddrick, Akia Ragland, Krystal, Tony Jr., Tyler, Tierra Patton, DeAra Hewitt, Steven Jr., Terral, Amaris Davis, Charles, Je’Nay, Tra’Von Johnson, Madison Peeples; fourteen great-grandchildren; six nieces; four nephews; brother-in-law, Aaron (Sonny) Willis, Sr.; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Otis Jones, Billie Curry, Tot, Hodges Family, Johnson Family and Gerald Moore.
