Yvette Miller (Lansing)

Mrs. Yvette Miller’s name was called by God on Monday, January 11, 2021, at the age of 45 years. She was born October 26, 1975, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Claude Lee Miller, Jr. and Betty Jo Miller.

Yvette was a resident of Lansing, Michigan for most of her life and graduated from Lansing Eastern High School where she played basketball and ran track. She worked for Wendy’s six years, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2006 to begin work and returned to Lansing in 2008 because family was too important for her to stay away. After returning to Lansing, Yvette obtained her bachelor’s degree from Davenport University and three master’s degrees from the University of Phoenix. While obtaining her post-education degrees, Yvette was providing for her family.

In her spare time, Yvette doted on her nieces and nephews and helped her siblings with raising them. She also enjoyed vacation travel with her family, watching football and basketball, going to the casino, wine tasting and spending time at family functions. Yvette was affectionately called “Auntie” by her nieces and nephews. She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Yvette was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Mary Jackson and Claude Lee Miller Sr. and Katherine Miller; great-nephew, Greyson Owens, and friend, Jose “Chachi” Gonzales.
