Yvonne Mallett passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at her residence. Age 54 years. She was born November 7, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Cornelius and Mary Ella Mallett.
Yvonne attended Chicago Public Schools before relocating to Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Zion Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Rincher. She was employed at Cracker Barrel and Taco Bell. Yvonne enjoyed movies, playing games and fishing. Her family always teased her about her other name, Irene.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Loretta, Latarsa and Hesterina Mallett; nine grandchildren, LaToya, Tyesha, Antionette, MyKing and Tyrone Mallett, Lateisha Williams, Carol, Jerome and Esha Buford; four great-grandchildren, TaKiyla, TaMiyla and Tyrone Mallett Jr. and Hannah Hibbler; five sisters, Hesterine Guyton and Mary Mallett of Chicago, Illinois, Queen Mallet of Saginaw, Michigan, Delores Sloan of Chicago, Illinois and LaShell Travis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two brothers, James Edward of Goodman, Mississippi and Cornelius Travis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; ten nieces, Yvonne, Tonya, Denise, Sonya, Lanise, Deloise, Cornelia, Mary and Marie Mallett and Kimberly Guyton; eight nephews, Robert, Preston, John, Gregory, Alonzo, Michael, Curtis and Jonathan Mallett; one aunt, Mertis Mallett of Chicago, Illinois; two uncles, Roosevelt Mallett of Goodman, Mississippi, and Roosevelt Houston of Chicago, Illinois; several cousins including Calvin and Delores Jordan of Picken, Mississippi; two brothers-in-law, Alonzo Buford and Edward Sloan.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Cornelius Mallett, her grandparents, and her fianc, Napoleon Buford.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped in any way during their time of bereavement.
