Ms. Zonia Renae Runnels passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 54 years. She was born February 12, 1964 to Elbert and Verma Ferguson in Lansing, Michigan.

Zonia has been a life-long resident of Lansing. She attended school in the Lansing School District, graduating from J. W. Sexton High School. Zonia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, LaRoy V. Thurman and Larry D. Cohen; 5 grandchildren, Tayvaun, Vaundez, LaVaunte, Donavyn, Trey Vaun Thurman; parents; 1 sister, Theresa Ferguson; 2 brothers, Jimmie Runnels, LaMarcus Ferguson; 1 neice, Tracy L. Withers, 2 great-nieces, Sarena and Shay Withers; 1 nephew, Lamarus Ferguson, Jr.; 1 great-nephew, Jonathan Withers; best friend, Debbie Black; special friends, LeRoy Thurman, Larry Cohen, and many other relatives and friends.
