Zwalee Mixaykham (Holt)

Mr. Zwalee “Khamsava” Mixaykham passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 56 years. He was born on May 1, 1962 in Savannakhet, Laos to Sone and Khamsing Mixaykham. He had three brothers; Bounpheng, Somchit, and Bouvone; six sisters, Amphone Kanyavong, Viengkhone Vongprachanh, Vimala Vanavong, Vilayphone Mixaykham, Soutsakhone Rattana, and Kongkeo Keomoungkhoun.

He attended the Officer School of the 27th Promotion at Chianimo, Vientiane. He was promoted to 1st Lt and served with the Special Guerilla Unit with the United States Central Intelligence (CIA) Operation of North in Laos. He was captured by the Lao Communist in 1979 and was sent to the labor camp Bane Thamouak Route No. 9 in Savannakhet Province. In 1984, he escaped to the refugee Camp Nakornpanom in Thailand and to make a living there, he became a nurse at the refugee camp.

In 1987, he came to the United States of America and met his wife “Maria” in college. He is survived by his wife, Maria; three children, Zahra, Isaac, and Abel; two grand-children, Zoe and Jacob; his parents, brothers, sisters, and 20 nieces and nephews.

Zwalee accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in August 2018. He was a wonderful father, grand-father, and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
